Call for Proposals

Navigating What's Next: Learning Together

The IDD field is experiencing ongoing change as rules and regulations evolve, workforce challenges continue, and service expectations increase, often in a climate of diminishing resources. The NAQ’26 Conference invites presentation proposals that reflect the realities of today’s service provider environment while sharing practical strategies, innovative practices, and thoughtful perspectives to help move the field forward.

Session ideas may emerge from everyday professional experiences—such as tackling persistent challenges, implementing new or improved practices, or strengthening outcomes through thoughtful and creative problem-solving. If you have insights, experiences, or tools that can help guide others forward, we invite you to share them by submitting a proposal.

NAQ makes it easy. Submit Proposals electronically - click on this link to make a submission. (Please note that incomplete proposals are not able to be saved, so we would recommend compiling the below information ahead of time.) Each submission will need to include:

  1. Session Title
  2. Length of session (1 hour, 1.5 hours, or 2 hours)
  3. Session Description (50-100 words that can be used in conference program)
  4. Short bio/introduction for each speaker (approximately 200 words)
  5. Current resume for each speaker
  6. Current photo (preferably a head shot) of each speaker
  7. Abstract that provides additional detail regarding your session content (1 - 2 pages)

Speakers will be notified via email or phone of the status of their proposal after review. Because of our desire to make the conference affordable to all, NAQ is unable to offer any conference discounts for speakers. All speakers are requested to register for the conference.

Please email Josie Brown at [email protected] with any questions. Thank you for helping us make NAQ '26 an exceptional conference!
